Sony Ericsson unveiled two new handsets one of them to their ever improving Walman series the Sony Ericsson W580 and the other is a Z series clamshell, the Sony Ericsson Z750. The W580 is a slider phone which is a GSM world phone which works with Quad band networks and comes with EDGE connectivity option. The phone has a 2inch QVGA 262K TFT display along with a good 2 megapixel camera. The phone also comes with a FM Radio. The W580 comes with the trademark Walkman® player 2.0 along with 512 MB M2 Memory card expandable to 2GB.The player supports various formats like MP3/AAC/AAC+/e-AAC+. The W580 comes with the latest AD2P technology which has become very famous nowadays and is mainly used to streaming sound through your bluetooth stereo headset. The Sony Ericsson Z750 is the first HSDPA handset the company has released for the American market. The phone supports Quad band networks like the above phone. It also comes with a complete HTML browser and RSS reader. The screen is a pretty big 2.2" QVGA 262k Colour TFT display and a 2.0 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom. The phone also comes with 128MB Memory Stick Micro expandable to 2GB. The handset measures 97.4 mm x 49 mm x 20 mm and has a decent enough battery life too. ![]() |
