Sony recently announced their new Projector, the Sony VPL-VW50 1080p. By the looks of it this seems to be quite impressive. The Sony VPL-VW50 has the Silicon X-tal Reflective Display, which makes it worth having a second look. It is backed with three SXRD chips, it has a contrast ratio of 15,000 : 1 and brightness of 900lumens.

The Sony VPL-VW50 1080p Projector is available for $5,000 from next month. The Sony VPL-VW50 1080p Projector makes 22db of sound while running which is decent enough and not too loud. It is quite compact and stylish, other normal specs invclude 1080 Full HD resolution and 2 HDMI inputs. The projector is compatible with Playstation 3 outputs and even your new Blue-ray/HD-DVD players.
