HP is now looking towards making an impact in the Plasma TV market with the two new Plasmas it unvieled at the CES today. The HP PL4272N is a 42inch plasma Tv capable of 1024 x 768 pixel resolution. This plasma can easily accomodate the 720p lines which is the base for High definition viewing. Although there is still a feeling amongst people that the real Plasma TVs start only with the 1080i and 1080p inputs. The 50inch Plasma in the form of PL5072N is a much better prospect. It comes with HDMI inputs and with a contrast ratio of 10,000:1. The PL5072N comes with a 1365 x 768 resolution. Both the TVs have a glass finish and come in black color. No idea on the pricing and availability at the moment, its too early to call as we just see HP announcing them at the CES. Source: HP ![]() |
